Thanks to XDSOFT’s work, a unique video analytics solution for football matches will be developed
The grant funds will be used to develop an automated video analytics system for football matches using artificial intelligence technologies.
The unique feature of the system is its ability to automatically recognize the behavior of both teams’ players on the field during the game and various in-game situations. Machine learning algorithms will be applied to achieve higher accuracy in object recognition on the video, track their movement from frame to frame, recognize the game situation on the field, and generate analytics for each player.
XDSOFT's development will be useful for football video analysts, scouts, coaches, sports journalists, and bookmakers. Notably, the solution being developed has no domestic analogs and can become a full-fledged replacement for foreign software used in Russian football.
This is not the first time XDSOFT has received support from the Innovation Promotion Fund. Previously, the company successfully developed a system for automatic external camera calibration for tracking and navigation tasks in logistics and autonomous transport fields.
