XDSOFT is preparing a new solution for video surveillance system owners

XDSOFT is developing a new intelligent auto-calibration system for cameras used in video surveillance, navigation, and drone control.

The solution being developed, using machine vision technology, will be able to automatically match the position of observed objects in video footage with their corresponding geographic coordinates. This functionality will expand the application of cameras by adding capabilities for tracking and "smart" object monitoring.

The system will address a wide range of tasks, from ensuring industrial and road safety, managing warehouse assets and logistics, to creating topographic maps based on video data and even navigating unmanned vehicles and aircraft.

The system is designed to extend video surveillance use cases and assist clients in non-standard monitoring conditions.

For example, the capability to generate local maps of monitored objects directly through the camera software enables tracking even in the absence of satellite or cellular geolocation, which is especially relevant for clients facing coverage issues with cell towers or GPS/GLONASS — such as in remote areas or underground facilities (e.g., parking lots, warehouses, etc.).

Currently, the company has obtained three certificates of state registration for software from the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent): "Software Module for Finding Vanishing Points in Video by Detecting Straight Lines," "Software Module for Finding Vanishing Points in Video by Tracking Moving Objects," and "Software Module for Controlling ONVIF Pan-Tilt-Zoom Cameras."

XDSOFT specialists have also ensured that the new auto-calibration system can be integrated with clients' existing video surveillance equipment.
