XDSOFT Team Gains New Experience at HighLoad Siberia 2018
XDSOFT specialists participated in the HighLoad Siberia 2018 conference, held on June 25-26 in Novosibirsk. The event focused on current solutions to the challenges of high-load systems.
Participants included companies like Badoo, Booking.com, Avito, Yandex, and 2GIS, which handle hundreds of millions of requests to their services daily. Representatives from these companies shared their experiences and the challenges they face when hundreds of thousands of users access their servers simultaneously, as well as the technologies they employ to tackle these issues.
Among the many interesting presentations, the following stood out:
-
Nikolai Golov (Avito) discussed microservices architecture and existing patterns in this area, particularly the Choreography-based Saga pattern, which allows for faster interactions between services. This insight will help our company create more efficient high-load services.
-
Viktor Bilyk (Booking.com) presented on creating a unified platform for storing algorithms and models for working with Big Data. He detailed how this platform changed the implementation process of Big Data solutions across various components and the benefits it provided. Such developments may be applicable in other fields in the future.
-
Yuri Nasrtdinov (VK) talked about the automated collection of statistics from thousands of machines. His presentation focused on the challenges encountered during the process and the technologies chosen to address them.
The experience gained by the XDSOFT team at this event and the contacts established during the conference will undoubtedly be valuable in future projects of this scale.
